Advocacy Forum Nepal (AF)

Advocacy Forum Nepal (AF) is a pioneering human rights organization dedicated to promoting justice, the rule of law, and accountability in Nepal. As a key partner in Peace Brigades International’s project, AF plays a central role in empowering Women Human Rights Defenders (WHRDs) and young activists across two provinces. Through capacity-building initiatives, regular dialogues with local governments, and mentorship programs, AF enhances the skills and networks of WHRDs to address human rights violations. Their efforts focus on ensuring safety, documenting threats, and advocating for policy reforms, ultimately aiming to create a secure environment for defenders while amplifying their advocacy and campaign work.  AF holds expertise in the Transitional Justice process, prevention of torture, child rights and juvenile justice, and Women, Peace, and Security issues in Nepal.

 

Collective Campaign for Peace (COCAP)

The Collective Campaign for Peace (COCAP) is Nepal’s leading human rights organization dedicated to promoting peace and safeguarding human rights defenders (HRDs) nationwide. As a key partner in the project aimed at strengthening the capacities of women and marginalized human rights defenders (W/HRDs) in Madhesh Province, COCAP plays a crucial role in developing inclusive networks and protection mechanisms. The project, aligned with COCAP’s vision, focuses on building resilient and self-sustained networks of HRDs capable of supporting victims, advocating for rights, and engaging effectively with community members and government authorities. Through a series of capacity-building initiatives such as leadership training, storytelling workshops, and psychosocial counseling, COCAP empowers HRDs to manage risks, address vulnerabilities, and enhance solidarity among peer groups. Additionally, COCAP facilitates dialogues between HRDs, civil society organizations (CSOs), and government bodies, driving forward the formulation of human rights-related laws and protection mechanisms. COCAP’s contribution ensures that the project fosters stronger networks and elevates the voices and recognition of HRDs in key forums, ultimately strengthening regional human rights protections​.

 

Madesh Human Rights Home (Mahuri Home)

Madhesh Human Rights Home (MAHURI Home) is a grassroots organization committed to the protection and promotion of human rights, with a focus on marginalized and minority communities in Nepal. In collaboration with Peace Brigades International Nepal, MAHURI Home is vital in enhancing the social, economic, cultural, and political rights of minority and marginalized groups in Lumbini Province. Through this project, MAHURI Home engages in evidence-based advocacy, capacity-building training for human rights defenders, and creating platforms like the Minority Rights Protection Forum (MRPF) to address human rights issues. Additionally, MAHURI Home facilitates the development of gender-responsive policies at the local government level and mobilizes human rights champions to monitor and report violations. Their work ensures that endangered caste groups are identified and their rights are safeguarded through targeted policy reforms and inclusive governance initiatives.
